Jeep Safari Manali to Leh

The
472 km overland journey is open for around three months in a year, from June
to end of September. This trip can be extended to Nubra valley across Khardongla
pass, the highest motorable road in the world or to Srinagar after crossing
Zojila Pass. The Manali to Leh drive can be completed in two days with an overnight
stay at Serchu or Darcha. Another option is to drive to Leh via Tsokar and Tsomoriri
Lake. The journey starts from Manali driving through the lush green and foggy
Rohtang Pass (3980 m. The landscape surprisingly changes into the rugged brown
of the rain shadow area of Lahaul. The landscape changes into naked desert after
crossing a few villages of Lahul with prayer flags on their roofs. You will
start ascending Baralacha Pass and you can see surprisingly sprawling plain
areas of Serhcu where you will spend a night in tented Camp. Further, there
many small passes before you cross Taklang La pass Taglangla at 5330m to reach
Rumtse and Gya village. An hour drive from Runtse takes you to Upshi where you
corss indus river enter Indus valley with dotted villages on it's bank and beautiful
monasteries bulit on hill side. You journey finishes at Leh making it a drive
of lifetime's experience.

Day1 : Delhi - Mandi
Arrival assistance at Delhi-Airport/Railway station. Departure from Delhi with first halt after 400 kms (7 to 8 hours drive ) halt at Mandi. Overnight Stay at Hotel.
Day 2 : Manidaran - Manali

Breakfast.
Departure for Manikaran. 70 kms(2/3 hour's ) pleasant drive through famous Kasol
Valley. Visit the famous Shiva Temple & the seat of Guru Gobind Saheb ji at
Gurudwara. It is a holy place with natural hot water springs. Departure for
Manali en route visit Kullu weavers colony , Vaishnodevi Temple. Heck-in Hotel
at Manali for three nights stay.
Day 3 : Manali
Beakfast. Departure for Snow Point/ Rothang pass to enjoy snow games etc and Solang Valley to enjoy Para gliding, Hot air Ballooning & horse riding etc. Evening free to enjoy hotel's in house recreation facilities, overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 : Manali
Breakfast. Visit to Famous Roeriech Art Gallery at Naggar. Afternoon visit to Vashist temple dedicated Rishi Vashist famous for hot water springs. Hidamba temple Dedicated to Bheem's wife Hiadamba of Mahabharata. Evening free for shopping at local Tibetan Market / Manali Market. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 5 : Manali - Sarchu
Breakfast departure for 7 hours drive to Sarchu camps (1400 fts) en - route see Pagal Nala. A mountain tributary, which changes course of flow every monsoon. Tandi
Confluence: Confluence of Chandra & Bhaga river which forms Chenab river which flows to Jammu and onwards to Pakistan.
Deepak Tal: A small lake of sweet water at an altitude of 12,500 feet by the side of Manali-leh Road.
Suraj Tal: A small quite natural lake merges in Bagha river. Next to Bara-Lacha Pass at an altitude of 16,400.00 feet. Overnight stay at Sarchu Camp.
Day 6 : Sarchu to Leh

(Leh-Ladakh
at an altitude of 11500ft. is a land like no other. Bouded by two of the world's
mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalayas and the Karakoran, it lies athwart
two others, the Ladak range and the Zanskar range. Ladakh is also known as the
land of passes.)
Departure to Leh 6\7 hours drive. En route see Tanglanga (world's 2nd Highest motorable Pass at the height of 17550ft. Check -in Hotel at Leh. Visit Shanker Gompa and Traditional Ladakhi House. Overnight stay.
Day 7 : Leh
Shey, thicksey, Hemis & Sindhu Darshan Breakfast Departure for the Sightseeing
Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36 ft. Height statue of Buddha made of copper covered with gold.
Thicksey: The twelve storeyed monastery is the wealthiest monastery in ladakh belinging to the Red Sect. Is famous for its summer Hemis Festival.
